Bere Road Guest House

Our three bedroom, one bath cottage is well suited for families. Located in Rough Bay, 1/2 block from the beach, a short walk to the marina, on the road to Bere Point Park.

Jan’s Place

Oceanview accommodation five minutes from ferry. Open design, full kitchen & bathroom, queen, double & single beds, sleeps five. WiFi & Satellite TV. No smokers or pets please.

Midden Lane Suite

Private waterfront suite with kitchen, bath, beach. Children and pets welcome. Covered porch for smokers. Self-serve organic breakfast. Excellent fishing, and launching for small boats and kayaks. Aromatherapy massage available.

Nanshands AirBnB/Giftshop

Small cottage with kitchenette, one bathroom, double bed and a fold-out couch, comfortable sitting area and semi-private patio. Adults only. Sorry, no pets. Nanshands Giftshop offers soaps, socks, art cards, blankets, wooden tables & trays.

The Oceanfront Hotel

Jan Rosgen’s artwork focuses on Malcolm Island scenes.

High Tide Art Sointula

Whimsical ocean images and acrylic pouring techniques are influenced by the natural world. Tricia Bowen’s work is abstract and often done on Malcolm Island reclaimed wood with discarded planks, cedar boards and twisted driftwood being transformed into canvases.

Island Infusion

I explore ecodyeing as a way to reuse and repurpose clothing and paper. The paper is used for handmade journals and art prints. We are located in the lobby of the hotel. Please call for an appointment or drop in.

Janet Etter Folk Art Shack

Karsten Construction

Karsten Construction is a small firm that has extensive experience in all aspects of the building process, from planning to finish. We have shipped log and timber frame houses to Switzerland and Vancouver Island. Our preference is to use local resources such as Western Red Cedar, Douglas-Fir, and Sitka Spruce. However, we also have been using innovative technologies such as : SIPS, ICFs, and laser instrumentation throughout the past 20 years.

Be sure to see the Sturgeon 1, an historic wooden gillnet fishing boat built in Sointula and situated at the marina, 2 km north along 1 st Street.
